How can I help my child be ready for kinder?
Kindergarten is a huge transition for kids! Here are a few things you can do with your child at home to help them with the transition!
-Read together everyday
-Sing the alphabet and practice naming letters in everyday life
-Write their name
-Practice counting objects
-Have your child practice using their lunch kit and opening their own food packages.
-Encourage pretend play!
-Encourage your kids to verbalize feelings and problems and ask for help.
- Give your child simple chores
Chores help kids to feel like they are a big kid, responsible and show them they are an important part of the home. Having a chore at home will help them develop independence and confidence to do things on their own.
